Mr. Jalloh is currently pursuing a Ph. D. in Weed Science at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, he is a MSc Degree holder in Crop Protection (thesis on weed science) which he obtained from Njala University. He pursued his BSc (Honors) in Agriculture (General) between 2006-10 at the same University-Njala. He joined the Sierra Agricultural Research Institute (SLARI) in January, 2012. He is attached to the Soil Crop Animal Management and Natural Resource Program (SCAM&NR) of the Rokupr Agricultural Research Centre (RARC). Areas of interest include management of weed pest in Rice, Sorghum, Pearl Millet, Digitaria, Maize fields etc both at research level and farmers’ field; Liaise with Heads of projects and programmes in implementing activities in SLARI; Identify farmers’ problems relating to weed pest and then discuss these with the appropriated authority for solutions; Propose activities- training needs, for example, based on benefits to farmers.
