About Me:
Mr. Massaquoi obtained his M.Sc. degree in Agriculture at Njala University College, where he also earned his B.Sc. degree. He began his career in 2009 as an Extension Officer at the Sierra Leone Agricultural Research Institute (SLARI), specifically stationed at the Njala Agricultural Research Institute (NARC). In 2012, he advanced to the role of Principal Researcher (Field-Based) in the program focused on promoting the adaptation of new rice varieties to address the costs of early adoption.
He received valuable training through the WAAPP-SL project, which equipped him for more significant responsibilities in his field. His contributions to the Cassava Baseline Survey were crucial to its success. Additionally, his writing skills were showcased as he collaborated on a book about Innovation Platforms (IPs) in the maize and cassava value chain and food systems.
Mr. Massaquoi has made substantial contributions to numerous research projects, both nationally and internationally. In 2019, he was appointed Acting Outreach Officer, where he continues to apply his knowledge and experience in outreach programs.
