Mariama Adikalie Kamara
Research Assistant
Mariam Adikalie Kamara is a Research Assistant attached to Kabala Horticultural Crop Research Centre and is highly committed to become a scientist. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture General from Njala University. Mariam is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Crop Science.at the Njala University specializing in plant breeding. She is a hard-working and highly motivated research assistant. Her interest area is in plant breeding. She played a key role in the implementation of the EU-BAFS funded project implemented by the Centre. She actively participated establishment and data collection from field trials undertaken at the Centre:
- Multiplication of open pollinated vegetable seeds from Kokopelli Association
- Evaluation of Irish potato genotypes in the Savannah Highlands in Sierra Leone
- Argo-morphological characterization of local pepper germplasm
- Establishment and maintenance of biopesticide garden
