Mr. Edwin Idriss Mustapha holds an M.Phil. in Entomology from the University of Ghana and a B.Sc in Biological Sciences from Njala University in Sierra Leone. He works as a Research Scientist at the Animal Health Research Unit of the Sierra Leone Agricultural Institute (SLARI). His primary focus is on contributing to the fight against zoonotic diseases and other animal diseases of economic significance in the country.

He has expertise in monitoring, surveillance, and control of diseases in domestic animals that are both zoonotic and economically important. Additionally, he is knowledgeable in biosafety and biosecurity management, as well as quality assurance in veterinary laboratories. He is skilled in diagnosing animal diseases using various techniques, including serology and molecular methods like PCR.

Furthermore, he possesses excellent computer skills and is proficient in statistical software, including RStudio and SPSS, as well as web-based data collection software such as ODK and Kobo Collect. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in Nigeria.
