Mr. Ansumana Davowah is a dedicated Research Officer II and environmentalist with over five years of professional experience at the Sierra Leone Agricultural Research Institute (SLARI). Mr. Ansumana Davowah joined the Sierra Leone Agricultural Research Institute (SLARI) in 2020 and was posted at Magbosi Land, Water and Environment Research Center (MLWERC) as a Research Assistant in Environmental Unit before he proceeds for post graduate studies in Njala in 2022. His work focuses on integrating environmental sustainability into agricultural research and development, particularly in areas affected by climate variability, land degradation, and ecological fragility. Mr. Davowah holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Geology from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Management and Quality Control from Njala University, Sierra Leone. Furthermore, he has other Certificates on short online training courses organized by World Bank Group Open Learning Campus in Introduction to Air Quality Management, Introduction to the World Bank Environmental and Social Framework, Water Quality analysis conducted by National Water Quality Laboratory, Tower Hill in 2022. Mr. Davowah is also a member of Sierra Leone Institution of Geoscientist (SLIG).  His academic and professional background equips him with strong expertise in environmental assessment, soil and water management, and the design of adaptive research strategies that align agricultural innovation with ecological conservation. Throughout his tenure at SLARI, Mr. Davowah has contributed to several multidisciplinary research projects aimed at improving sustainable agricultural practices, enhancing climate resilience, and supporting rural livelihoods. He is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between research and field implementation, ensuring that scientific knowledge leads to real-world impact for farmers and communities across Sierra Leone. Mr. Davowah is known for his analytical mindset, collaborative spirit, and commitment to environmental stewardship, Ansumana continues to play a vital role in advancing SLARI’s mission of sustainable agricultural development.
